2 Stockinger Lane in 2004 before renovation. G Atkins' joinery workshop on ground floor.
Tony Atkins' dad bought it in the 1970’s from M Whitaker Undertakers.
Where the large window is used to be double doors to let in the carts so that the coffins could be lowered on to them from the floor above.
You can still see the hinges either side of the window. According to the deeds, it was built in the 1830’s.
