Atkin's Barn in Stockinger Lane in November 1995.
Tony Atkins dad bought it in the 1970’s from M Whitaker Undertakers.
Where our large window at the front is used to be double doors to let in the carts so that the coffins could be lowered on to them from the floor above.
You can still see the hinges either side of thewindow. According to the deeds, it was built in the 1830’s.
