The earlier MR single-frame 0-6-0 types used over the Skipton - Ilkley branch looked like No.3352 - a typical example with round top boiler, Salter safety valves and lohnson cab. This engine had been built in 1891 and retained its round top boiler until withdrawal in 1946. It was photographed in Skipton engine shed yard just before the end of its life.
